Previously an old warehouse, today 34 St. Martin Street is refurbished to function as one of NEEScom’s fiber optic switching and collocation centers. The 50,000 s.f. renovation entailed heavy electrical and HVAC upgrades necessary to accommodate specific energy requirements. Included in these upgrades were six generator locations and centrifugal chillers. The 10,000 s.f. collocation area is served by six carrier handlers delivering 70,000 C.F.M. of air. DC batteries have also been installed. NEEScom’s facility has been designed to accommodate multiple users by distributing future chilled water and electrical conduits into a series of structural steel racks. |
