construction in store for AFC Cable Systems Braintree, MA— Integrated Builders has been hired to build AFC Cable Systems’ new manufacturing plant on 260 Duchaine Boulevard in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The project totals 200,000 square feet and is valued at approximately $8 million. The structural steel, single-story building will have a split-faced block entrance that will house approximately 5,000 square feet of office space. The building’s rear will accommodate the manufacturing and machine shop space with a 24’ clear height ceiling, as well as 14 loading docks and levelers. The structure will also contain a large cafeteria and locker room area, as well as maintenance space. The architect for the project is Earth Tech of Concord, MA. AFC Cable Systems, Inc., a division of Tyco Flow Control, is a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of electrical distribution products.
